Super Hero Stock

Here are a few Super Hero stock images. I tried to keep them pretty generic. Hopefully the poses and/or lighting can help illustrators or digital painters. I’d be very interested to see what type of art any manipulators can do with these. Hopefully they can inspire some kind of creativity.

These were taken as part of my Super-Stock Challenge in hopes to get other stock artists to beef up the Super Hero stock in the dA archives.

Please credit me and contact me when you have used my stock and give me a link to the artwork. I must be contacted before any of my images are used for commercial use. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Hatalibio Almeida, I am producing a book of RPG, is an independent project without a publisher, I would like to ask your permission to use this image in the book. Your name (or whatever you choose) would be put in the credits of the book, as well as references to his work (site, company, etc..).

Why all black on a black background? Doesn't that make it impossible to isolate?

That would probably depend on what method you're using. I'd say with any tool other than the magic wand (and I wouldn't recommend the magic wand tool ever for cutting out elements like this) then there is enough differentiation from the background and figure :) Not to mention that this could just as easily be used as a traditional art reference thus making the "cutting out" process unnecessary.

This guy reminds me of Kurtis Stryker from Mortal Kombat.

As for the picture itself, great pose.

itŽs a nice shot, but under the circumstances i have to really criticise.

many people are using stock pictures for photomanipulations. thos will want to seperate the guy from the background. and it will be an ordeal.
black clothes on black background gives it only the little contrast that light provides.
ans even if used as stock for a drawing, it would be much better to have clear outlines, so as to be able to really take in the shape well.

as it is, the image will certainly be useful for special concepts, but overall i think it would have been better if youŽd choosen at least a medium grey background, if, per chance, you didnŽt want any reflected color (as youŽd have with green/red/blue background), so as to create more contrast between figure and background.

anyways! congrats on the DD and much more fun with taking fotos ;D

hmmm, the oufit sort of remind me of Striker from Mortal Kombat 3 : [link] . or that guy from gear of war. Also, nice kick. Assuming you don't do martial art, it's not bad really ;).
