Kami - Initial Concept

This is a character in the story that ~CapnJon is currently writing. This is the initial character design sketch that i did for Kami's Character Sheet. This was drawn to define clothing and armor design. It was just a quick sketch so not all of the detail has been drawn and the clothing/armor styling has not yet been defined. I will be adding more detail and tweaking certain aspects. I figured I'd submit this preliminary sketch so ~CapnJon can get a feel for what I'm doing so far.

Here's the info on Kami:

Style: A long sword, with throwing knives for defense
Height: 5’6
Weight: Unknown
Personality: Kami is very self-centered, although she acts that way to hide her caring heart from people who would use it to take advantage of her. She is deeply loved by all of her kind, and she is trying to live up to her dead sister’s rule.
Species: Vampire
Armor: Wears gold embroidered armor, since she is the Queen and needs some protection
Plot: Kami is the queen of the vampires, and handles their affairs. She also helps Mathias, and seems to enjoy the company of humans. Kami constantly has high expectations of all vampires, and assumes that their loyalty lies unchecked. She is easily heartbroken, but tries to hide it by being self-centered.

Ok, Kami can't wear anything but ornamental armor, and it's metal at the knees and elbows and the forearms, but that's pretty much it for her, the rest is leather. As for style, I'm seeing her as a more Oriental look, but kinda a mix of Oriental and Western...and she is supposed to be graceful and agile. She fights like that, and her clothing covers her, but it's kinda tight looking for clothing not too baggy. Since she's the queen I was thinking decorative and colorful. This is where I see the oriental pattern....kinda like the patterns on a kimono, you know? Same with her sword, by the way, but a hand and a half,with elaborate and decorative looks to it. She wears very clean clothes, she's orderly, and she is very pretty. Hmm...she is tall and lean, and she is pale. She also keeps her hair loose, she doesn't keep it up or have anything to do that, so no crowns. But, she does wear a necklace that her sister gave her, and it's just a simple necklace with an amulet on it, nothing too detailed. No freckles, and she has purple eyes. Her hair isn't supposed to be a human color, but I want you to pick something that would complement her eyes, and outfit. Kinda depends on the color of everything.

..And of course I had a little creative freedom with some of the details. Thanks to ~CapnJon for letting me do this to hone my skills some more. Much work yet to be done...
