Anyone have any extra minutes?

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 29, 2009, 11:12 AM

I just love those cell phone commercials where the family members abuse their extra "minutes" leftover from the month and the mother yells at them and explains that the minutes are still good becasue they roll over. I would totally garbage dive looking for those extra minutes to add to my days if it were possible.

Well, i haven't been very active on here for longer than i'd like so here is a little explaination for anyone who cares. First off, i'm one of those people who fits more into my day than can be handled with grace and poise consistantly. I always seem to have a full plate of things to do. In the spring (basically Jan-May) I coach lacrosse at the nearby High School. It takes up a ton of my free time six to seven days a week. I enjoy it though, and it is my way of giving back to my community and doing my part to teach 50-60 young men the meaning of honor, discipline, hard work, teamwork, and leadership. And seeing them apply these traits in their lives is reward enough for my time invested.

Also, my work has been crazy busy the past year. I work for a professional motorsports company and with all of the rebuilding and shuffling of the American auto industries lately, we've been doing our part to maintain our role in all of that. I've also been taking on more duties from our corporate counterparts, since due to cuts in personnel and funding, it takes more effort from everyone involved to maintain the same level of service and output. Anyway, work is still a blast and I totally love what i do.

The latest addition to my to-do list is a new addition to my family. My second son was born this summer and it has been a lot of fun having a new baby in the house. It has been a small challenge having to learn to juggle two boys both under two. Luckily they are both very good and very easy kids.

I have also been working on upgrading my home studio. I have some beautiful new backdrops, a 12x20 white one and 12x15 black one. They should be great for shooting new stock. I now have a Canon 50D to accompany my 20D. I have also upgraded my lighting, it's not exactly what i'd like but it is better than what i was using before. Hopefully i'll have some models to shoot other than myself soon. I have some great stock series ideas lined up and it will be a huge relief to be behind the camera instead of in front of it for a change.

To sum it all up, hopefully i'll be integrating more stock and art back into my life very soon. I have a TON of comments and messages in my dA inbox that i need to respond to as well. So, if you have any of those extra minutes, send them my way.

You can run, but you'll only die tired... Growing up, I remember seeing a similar quote on one of my dad's shirts. It had a man looking down the sights of an assault rifle with the words "Sniper: you'll only die tired" printed beneath it.

Dude its so awesome that you have all these military photos to reference. It's really helpful and I appreciate it so much. When I use an image as a reference for the pose should I let everyone know that I used one of your stock photos in the future?
